HAVE you ever heard of the saying – It’s not the Destination, but the Journey  – you probably have, But have you ever taken a hard look at those few simple words and what they mean?  I enjoy traveling and all that’s involved. Craters of the Moon

I have driven by Craters of the Moon many times within the 38 years or so since I’ve lived in Idaho, but have never taken the time to stop and drive through the park. This particular day I’m glad I did. After driving the scenic loop and taking a few pictures I wondered why I hadn’t done this before. Probably because it was always to hot. Yellowstone National Park

A few of my favorite photographs from my 2015 drive through Yellowstone National Park. I’ve been to Yellowstone many times before. I decided  to make a quick drive up there since I was only about thirty miles away camping in the Island Park area.  But of all the days I decided to do just that, the traffic was terrible. Imagine why? It took me about three hours to drive sixteen miles. The time spent driving through was well worth it though. Our first camping trip was backpacking in the High Sierras of Northern California, I haven’t stopped camping since. Of course through the years camping has evolved for me.
